Nowadays, finding recipes inspiration can come from many different sources. Isn't it amazing how easy it is to find ideas from all over the world!? Unfortunately, a problem that comes with that is the need to sometimes convert measurement units. The easiest way to do so is to use a Baking Measurement Conversion Table.
Going through all my recipes, I realised that I write Baking Recipes coming from French sources in grams and litres while the ones inspired by American recipes are in spoons and cups.
I personally use both measuring cups/spoons and a scale.
For that reason, switching from French recipes to American ones is not a big issue for me.
I highly recommend buying a Kitchen Scale if you are interested in French Patisserie. They are surprisingly affordable and allow you to be way more precise in your measurements. If you are interested in getting one, this is the type of scale that I use.
That being said, I understand that not everyone has a Kitchen Scale or want to buy one. Discussing that issue with friends are reviewing some of your comments pointed out the complexity of switching from cups to grams.
For that reason, I decided to try to make your life a little bit easier. I created a printable "Baking Measurement Conversion Table" that gives you the conversion of the most used baking ingredients.
This table shows you the main Cups to Grams (and Litres) ingredients conversion.
It is completely free to download and print as I hope it will be as useful to you as it is to me. Keep it on your computer and print it and hang it on your fridge; whatever makes your life (in the kitchen) easier!
